Baihua Chinese School specializes in teaching children, teenagers, and young adults Chinese (中文) in Ann Arbor, Michigan.We serve students in Canton, Dixboro, Plymouth, Saline, and the Washtenaw County area.

Our classes

Our classes are all held in person in Ann Arbor. We follow the Ma LiPing (MLP) Chinese language curriculum for all of our classes.

  • MLP Chinese 2nd Grade - Thursdays 4:10-6:10 PM

  • MLP Chinese 4th Grade - Saturdays 12:00-2:00 PM

  • MLP Chinese 2nd Grade - Saturdays 2:00-4:00 PM

  • MLP Chinese Kindergarten - Saturdays 4:00-5:30 PM

  • MLP Chinese 3rd Grade - Sundays 9:00-11:00 AM

  • MLP Chinese 7th Grade - Sundays 12:00-2:00 PM

  • MLP Chinese 1st Grade - Sundays 2:00-3:30 PM

  • MLP Chinese 1st Grade - Sundays 3:40-5:10 PM

Meet Your Teacher

Kate (Baihua)

Kate's a trained Chinese teacher with over twenty years of experience. She's taught Chinese in China, Canada, and the US to hundreds of students from every background.She specializes in early childhood education and young adults, helping them learn the language skills that'll help them pass the HSK, qualify for foreign language credits, and navigate daily life or just a trip in China!
